Chris Bosh and Val Ackerman have been honored in the 2021 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class. They will be enshrined in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Each year, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame honors exceptional basketball players, great coaches, referees, and other influential contributors to the sport of basketball. 

Both Bosh and Ackerman have participated in EPIC’s research. Bosh is a two-time NBA champion and an 11-time NBA All-Star. Ackerman is the founding president of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and is a former president of USA Basketball. Their insights on how they deal with failure experiences and convert them to successes are tremendously inspiring and informative to our study about how students of all ages in the classroom and outside of the classroom can benefit from learning from failure.
